M3U and M3U8 playlist player for Android TV

Paste your M3U or M3U8 playlist link into StreamX and watch it with channel logos, groups, favourites, an EPG guide and catch-up, all in a TV-friendly interface.

StreamX is a media player only. It does not provide any channels, movies, series or streams. You add a playlist, portal or login that you already have the right to use.

How to add an M3U playlist

  1. Open StreamX and open the Profile menu (your avatar, top right).
  2. Choose Manage Sources, then add a new source.
  3. Under Source Type, select M3U URL.
  4. Optionally type a Source Name.
  5. Paste your link into M3U Playlist URL. To combine several playlists, add several links separated by a space.
  6. Optionally add an EPG URL (XMLTV) for the TV guide.
  7. Save, then sync. Your channels appear under Live TV, and movies and series appear in their own tabs when the playlist contains them.

What StreamX reads from an M3U playlist

  • Extended tags such as channel names, logos and group titles.
  • Catch-up information, where the playlist includes it.
  • Large playlists, loaded in the background so the app opens instantly.

Why StreamX for M3U

Instead of a plain list, StreamX groups channels, remembers favourites, finds titles with instant search and shows movies and series with posters, cast and trailers when the names can be matched. Everything is controlled with the TV remote.
