Delete your StreamX account & data
StreamX — media player for Android TV · Last updated: 19 October 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your StreamX account and the data
associated with it. StreamX is developed by the StreamX developer and is a media player only.
Delete your account in the app (fastest)
- Open StreamX and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open the Profile menu (your avatar, top right).
- Choose Delete Account and confirm with Delete forever.
Deletion starts immediately. Your cloud data is erased first, then your account, then the copy of your
data on that device. It cannot be undone.
Can't open the app? Ask us to delete it
Send an email to 5xstreamx@gmail.com with:
- Subject line:
Delete my StreamX account
- Sent from the email address you used to sign in to StreamX (so we can verify ownership)
We will delete your account and associated cloud data within 30 days and email you a confirmation.
What gets deleted
On completion of your request, the following are permanently removed from our systems (Google Firebase):
| Data | Deleted? |
| Account & sign-in (email address, authentication record) | Yes — permanently |
| Saved playlists / source configurations | Yes — permanently |
| Watch history and playback progress | Yes — permanently |
| App settings synced to your account (display and tab choices, appearance, remote-button choices, viewing profiles, subtitle-service logins, followed teams) | Yes — permanently |
| Device profile (model, app version, language, IP address, last-seen) | Yes — permanently |
What may be kept, and for how long
- Anonymised crash & diagnostics data (Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics) that is not linked to your identity may be retained in aggregate for stability and analytics, per Google Firebase's standard retention. It cannot be used to identify you after your account is deleted.
- We keep no other personal data after deletion is complete.
Delete data yourself, immediately
- Uninstalling the app (or clearing its data in Android settings) removes all data stored locally on that device right away.
- Sign Out in the Profile menu removes your sources and watch history from that device. They stay in your account until you delete it.
- Removing an individual source in Manage Sources also removes that source from your cloud account.
- Using the app without signing in stores everything only on your device — nothing is sent to our cloud.
