EPG and XMLTV TV guide for Android TV
StreamX shows a clean TV guide with now and next information and a live mini player, using an XMLTV link or the automatic guide from your Xtream provider.
StreamX is a media player only. It does not provide any channels, movies, series or streams. You add a playlist, portal or login that you already have the right to use.
How to add an EPG
- Open StreamX and open the Profile menu (your avatar, top right).
- Choose Manage Sources, then add a new source.
- Open your source, or add a new one.
- In the EPG Source section, paste your EPG URL (XMLTV). You can add several links.
- For an Xtream Codes source, leave the field blank to use the automatic guide.
- Save and sync. Open the EPG Guide tab to browse by category and channel.
What the guide gives you
- Now and next information for every channel that has guide data.
- A live mini player at the top, so you keep watching while you browse.
- Compressed (gzip) XMLTV files are handled automatically.
- Category and channel lists that match your Live TV groups.
Good to know
The guide shows only what your source or your XMLTV link provides. If a channel has no guide data, StreamX still plays it and the programme area stays empty. Matching works best when the XMLTV channel IDs match the playlist.
